Oscar Red Carpet

Hailee Steinfeld was a break out actress in "True Grit" but I wish she would have worn some color! Shes young and fabulous, but come on! The color totally washes her out! But I must admit I am a sucker for a perfectly cinched 1950s inspired cocktail/housewife dress. And the embroidery/beading on the bodice is lovely. But since she is so young and an upcoming starlet, she could have pushed the "Fashion envelope" and worn something bright or atleast that doesn't match her skin tone. .. Oh well! Theres always next year!

Okay, I would have liked to finish my Fashion week posts before "covering" the Oscars but I couldn't help it!
I had to mention Mila Kunis's dress. I absolutely loved her in "Black Swan" as the alternative ballet bad girl. But in this lavender lace-y dress, shes absolutely gorgeous and sweet.
The lace tiers/flounces frame her figure perfectly. The lace around her chest is awesome. It ties in the flounces at the bottom. I dig it!

oh yes please!

I bought these today from Old Navy. They were in the girls department but I couldn't help myself! They looked really comfortable and cute. Nothing screams Spring like Espadrille flats :) I am thinking these will be a staple in many Spring wardrobes! At least they will be in my closet.
These would be cute with jeans and a t-shirt but would definitely complement a fun summer dress. I can't wait for Spring! It is my favorite time of the year because the weather is mild enough to wear dresses without tights or leggings but you can still accessorize with a cute cardigan :)

Overall, this little purchase will definitely add a pop of color to my wardrobe.

Don't worry, I'll continue the hunt for more Spring must-haves.

:)
